If words could save a life
would I still be your wife?
Let me kiss it all away,
Just enough to make you stay.
Candy-coated promises spoken,
Always destined to be broken.
I hate myself for loving you,
always too good to be true.

Author’s note: This poem was written sometime between 2023 and 2025. It’s unedited and raw. That is intentional.
It’s not my intention to open wounds with these older pieces, but instead, to share my mind with readers. To share who I am inside all the layers.
